How much notice must a landlord give before entering a rental unit?

A landlord must give at least 24 hours written notice stating the time of entry, and must enter at a reasonable time. The Act does not require the notice to give a reason. There are two other routes in: in an emergency the landlord may enter without notice, and once notice of termination has been given the landlord may show the unit to a prospective tenant or purchaser at a reasonable time after making a reasonable effort to give at least 4 hours notice.
